I just released a second beta of gloox 1.0, following the beta1 release yesterday. It just fixes a couple of bugs. Testing is encouraged and any success, failure, and bug reports are welcome.

I just released the second alpha of gloox 1.0. It brings XMPP Ping (XEP-0199) support and includes some fixes for bugs found since alpha1.

I'm happy to release a first alpha of what will be known as gloox 1.0. There are some architectural changes and many new features:

• support for many new XEPs, including XEP-0060 (Publish-Subscribe), XEP-0115 (Entity Capabilities) and XEP-0124 (BOSH)
• XML namespace support
• a much more flexible means to extend protocol support
• and much more

Some parts of the API have changed in incompatible ways from 0.9. For porting help, please take a look at the (not yet complete) page about upgrading from 0.9.x. Also, there may be problems with certain compilers (especially on Windows) due to lack of proper template support in those compilers. So far, only GCC (incl. MinGW) has been used. Any reports about working or non-working compilers and platforms are greatly appreciated.
