You aren't, by any chance, closing the stdout file descriptor (1) (or
otherwise not having it open) before you instantiate the gloox Client or
Connection object, are you? If you are, try configuring gloox with
--without-debug to keep debugging output from being sent to the server.
Other than that, I don't know. It may depend on your server.
I have not, myself, been seeing these errors.
