No, they are not. You have a -dbg package available for having debug
symbols, but no more debug code is compiled. This will be useful for
developers, but a waste for end users. Anyway, if you need debug
symbols, please read /usr/share/doc/libgloox-dev/README.Debian where
there are instructions on how to compile packages with debug code
enabled.
